Culinary Director

TGB Hospitality Group seeks a Culinary Director to lead The Granola Bar’s culinary team at a critical time of growth and expansion.. The ideal candidate is a passionate and experienced chef with a strong understanding of the food industry and a commitment to sustainability and wellness.

As the Culinary Director, you will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing menu plans, overseeing food production, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and taste. You will also play a key role in maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, as well as leading efforts to reduce food waste and promote sustainability.

Additional responsibilities for the Culinary Director include:

Developing new menu items and specials, using fresh, local ingredients whenever possible
Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
Training and supervising kitchen staff, including hiring and performance evaluations
Collaborating with other members of the management team to ensure that the restaurants are running smoothly and efficiently
Participating in menu and recipe development, as well as developing and implementing food-cost controls
Staying up-to-date on industry trends and making recommendations for menu and operational improvements
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

The successful candidate will have a culinary degree and several years of experience working in a professional kitchen, with at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role. You should also have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Occasional domestic travel is also required. 

General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for the overall operation and success of The Granola Bar restaurant. The GM will lead and motivate their team to provide excellent customer service, maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness, and work towards meeting sales and profit goals. The GM will also be responsible for budgeting and financial performance, as well as developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading and managing a team of employees at The Granola Bar
Ensuring excellent customer service is provided at all times
Maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness in the restaurant
Managing budgets and financial performance
Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and profits
Handling customer complaints and conflicts
Overseeing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers
Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in a managerial role in a restaurant or related industry
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial performance
Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Experience with Toast is preferred, but not required
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Assistant General Manager

The Assistant General Manager at The Granola Bar will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations. This includes managing the front of house staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining food and beverage quality, and controlling costs. The Assistant General Manager will also assist with the development and implementation of strategies to increase profitability and drive business growth.

Key responsibilities:

Assisting the General Manager in managing the daily operations of the restaurant, including staff supervision, inventory management, and financial reporting
Providing excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing and promotional campaigns to drive business growth
Maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality and presentation
Assisting in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures to ensure efficiency and consistent service
Participating in the hiring and training of new staff members
Assisting in the development and management of the restaurant budget
Handling customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software
Experience with Toast is preferred, but not required
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays


Kitchen Manager

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the overall operation and success of the kitchen at The Granola Bar. This includes managing the kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and presentation, and ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently and effectively. The Kitchen Manager is also responsible for managing food and labor costs, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. In addition, the Kitchen Manager should be fluent in both English and Spanish, as they will be responsible for communicating with both English and Spanish-speaking kitchen staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and train kitchen staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the kitchen
Maintain food quality and presentation standards
Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
Create and update menus and specials
Monitor and control food and labor costs
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues that may arise, both in English and Spanish
Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in a kitchen management role
Proven leadership and management skills
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in English and Spanish
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with computer systems and point-of-sale systems
ServSafe certification preferred
Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or a related field preferred, but not required
Experience with Toast is preferred, but not required
